 Are you an experienced Governance Business Improvement Manager? Seeking a new role? Look no further!

The Role:

You’ll be joining a versatile and dynamic team who are responsible for ensuring Property & Asset Management operates to the highest standards possible, with a focus on delivering industry leading management of their client’s properties, whilst contributing to the Centre of Excellence and maintaining strong relationships with each service line.

As the Governance & Business Improvement Manager, you will be an integral part of the Risk, Compliance, and Quality team, ensuring our framework and operating model is fit for purpose. The role reports into the Risk, Compliance and Quality Director for Property & Asset Management.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously, and be willing to challenge the status quo to elevate and drive continuous improvements. You will have the opportunity to create purpose and influence senior management on areas for improvement, while inspiring and coaching colleagues to achieve and maintain quality standards.

The Role:

  • Manage the Process Hub, ensuring the business process library accurately reflects current procedures and processes within team.
  • Adopt a consultative and collaborative approach in providing the business with proactive advice and support required to conduct operations to the highest standards of the excellence and ethics by providing our clients with industry leading levels of assurance.
  • Safeguard the control environment through effective monitoring, ISAE 3402 controls assurance reporting, assurance reviews / audits, root cause investigations and process improvement reviews incorporated in a robust annual assurance plan
  • Identify root causes of breaches and collaborate with subject matter experts to identify common technical training r
  • An awareness and understanding of statutory and regulatory legislative changes (including HMRC & RICS), 
  • Conduct an annual self-certification process  to determine the internal confidence markers relating to the execution of ISAE controls within specific business functions. To analyse resultant data to maintain a log and share emerging themes with the Risk & Compliance Committee

 Experience for the role:

  • Minimum of 4 years audit or assurance experience (desirable), or a strong background in process design / management.
  • At ease with accounting and business processes as well as auditing concepts and practices, including the understanding of third-party assurance
  • Knowledge and understanding of internal control and process frameworks
  • Ability to provide a balanced view on the right level of controls that match the internal/ external risk appetite
  • Ability to challenge the normal and identify scope for improving processes, driving change for the success of the team
