As a Business Insight Executive your key purpose is to deliver management information across the Operations and Commercial departments. You will produce reporting and analysis that articulates a clear story which drives and informs the business in line with the VWFS overall strategy. This will be both scheduled and ad-hoc requests so it’s imperative that you can build and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure the data is fit for purpose and adds real value.
This is what you could be doing:
- You will own and produce standard reporting that enables fast and accurate information to support stakeholder decision making
- Creating awareness of risks and opportunities through monitoring all performance reporting
- Identify and resolve any data quality issues that have an impact on the Business Insight team outputs
- You will develop strong working relationships across a variety of functions and the company as a whole
- Proactively develop and continuously improve outputs to anticipate future needs
- You will use data tools such as Tableau to refine the reporting suite and minimise the necessity for reactive report requests
- Utilise Salesforce functionality to create reports and dashboards to provide lead insight to Fleet and Operations stakeholders
- You will contribute to the production of local and HQ presentations such as BFR (Business Financial Review) and Board of Directors presentations
- Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to: Risk and Controlling leadership team, Sales, Fleet, Brand Management and Customer Operations
- Where appropriate, challenge and offer alternative solutions to stakeholders to drive outcomes
- Maintain appropriate process and procedure documentation
- You will be actively involved in relevant projects, understanding the impacts of reporting requirements to include relevant gathering, testing and implementation
This is the experience and skills you can bring to the role:
- Automotive finance experience would be preferred
- Advanced PC literacy: Microsoft Office skills especially Excel for reporting requirements and knowledge and experience of Business Objects and Tableau
- You may also have experience with Salesforce, 1link and Leaselink
- A degree is preferable in a numerical or data discipline, but not essential
- You can evidence implementing technically complex activities, particularly of a reporting or analytical nature
- Proven success in sharing complex technical knowledge across multiple senior stakeholder groups.
- You can balance work and priorities on multiple tasks simultaneously
- You have an analytical approach and can also engage and convey ideas and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders
- Methodical and disciplined approach to work, ability to identify trends and exceptions with tenacity to investigate
- You have great interpersonal skills and can influence stakeholders
