Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm (37.5 hours)

About the Trust
At South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust we provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. We also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol. Our staff serve a local population of nearly two million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient, and community services. We provide inpatient care for over 5,000 people each year and we treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, and Croydon. As well as serving the communities of south London, we provide more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK and beyond.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Assist the General Manager in meeting CQC standards by ensuring operational systems are in place and actively monitored and reported to the CAMHS Directorate Management Team, the multi-disciplinary team and other Trust colleagues.
- Ensure that operational policies/practices are in place to monitor:
- Safety, including infection control, the management of serious incidents Governance, including access to appropriate treatment Patient Focus, including ensuring that patients have information about the service and the complaints procedures Care Environment and Amenities, including ensuring that children and young people are treated in a family friendly environment, which is clean and accessible for disabled people.
- Overseeing the reporting with assistance from the CAMHS Data Manager on performance from the Trust Information Report System (Power Business Intelligence) to staff in the service.
- Oversee the reporting with assistance from the CAMHS Data Manager lead on data quality performance through ePJS, addressing issues appropriately. To lead in guiding and supporting clinical colleagues, equipping them with information on clinical effectiveness as and when requested.
- Produce statistical and management information reports. This will include monthly, quarterly and annual data returns for local and external use, and other monitoring reports as required.
You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
- An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
- Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
- A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You'll have the following skills/experience:
- Extensive administration and management experience with a thorough working knowledge of efficient and effective office procedures.
- Senior level secretarial and administration experience.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Relevant degree or professional qualification or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- RSA 3 secretarial qualification or equivalent qualification
This role may require you to show evidence of education to Degree level or at least 2 years relevant experience.
