Job description

About the role

We are looking to appoint a full time (37 hrs p/w) Business Officer to provide administrative support to the Children’s Social Care Teams within the Children, Education and Families Directorate.

This role will be primarily responsible for supporting the UASC (Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children) Team and Leaving Care Team, based in either Huntingdon or Ely although there is an expectation that Business Officers are able to work flexibly across various locations.

The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of Windows & Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience of using client databases.

You will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise and forward plan.  

The role will require you to provide high quality administrative support to the wider team and to liaise with colleagues, professionals and members of the public over the phone, via email and face-to-face is an integral part of this role therefore excellent communication skills are essential alongside an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
