Description
Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Business Partner and Reporting Manager will be responsible for:
- Reviewing, analysing and Reporting month end results for the organisation's Board and relevant Government Departments
- Chairing monthly working group meetings with relevant Government Departments - determining appropriate agenda, providing variance analysis and commentary on performance vs budget, review and follow up on actions that arise
- Maintaining and update the government accounting guidelines as applied to the organisation for new and existing work
- Supporting internal teams to comply with 'Managing Public Money' and other relevant public sector finance guidance
- Tracking implementation of relevant audit recommendations and identification of financial governance improvements
- Identify ways to improve government relationships, policy compliance, and Reporting processes.
Profile
The successful Business Partner and Reporting Manager will be a Qualified Accountant with relevant exposure of working in a FP&A or management accounting environment, especially in a public sector environment.
A background with proven track record of finance Business Partnering is essential within a Government or Arms Length Body environment.
A confident user of MS Excel and finance systems is needed for this role.
Job Offer
A salary between £65,000 - £75,000, plus excellent benefits including hybrid working
