Business Process Designer - Greenford

ROLE PURPOSE:

 The Business Process Designer is responsible for designing and delivering the processes required to support the business across different core-functions and systems.

 This role will support the business in defining its’ Target Operating Model aligned to the overarching business strategy and working closely with different stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the agreed objectives and business benefits effectively move us towards the desired target state.

 You will require strong stakeholder management skills, extensive process design experience, and the ability to analyse, evaluate business requirements, and translate into effective and efficient robust processes with measurable benefits.

Main Responsibilities

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and gather business requirements for the project, determining the need and value of performing activities based on the context.
  • Map "As-Is" and "To-Be" Business Processes using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Evaluate requirements against the present state and target state, identifying opportunities for successful business transitions.
  • Analyse the potential consequences of changes and estimate the modifications required for accomplishing those changes.
  • Project Related Design Definition: Define and document high level target design and business outcome.
  • Conduct E2E assessment to ensure all impacted functions and processes are properly considered in the project. Identify resource impacts/needs.
  • Identify business needs by working with business owners, business change leads, and users across different systems, to ensure a common purpose and successful delivery.
  • Ensure the E2E student journey is identified, mapped and maintained across different functions and systems.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
  • Apply recognized methodologies, conduct audits, tests, and quality gates.
  • Ensure change is delivered through a fully auditable process.
  • Coordinate with Business Improvement teams to identify and deliver enhancements that contribute to defined project benefits.
  • Engage with policy and strategy to align business systems, workflows, and processes with the target operating model.

 

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
  • Demonstrate experience in Business Process analysis, design, and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in process mapping and modelling tools.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience within Higher Education industry is highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of student record managements systems, ERP systems, are a plus.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Business Process management (BPM) software is desirable.
