We have a fantastic and interesting opportunity to join Santander as a Business Response Manager. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for mobilising the Business Response to all types of major Incidents & crisis events. With emphasis on driving the adoption of the Operational Resilience & incident management processes, whilst taking responsibility for ensuring communications are effective & maintained whilst always pivoting to the customer and customer impact.
You will assess the initial impacts, ensure the Incident and Crisis Management process is initiated (& adhered to) and report within essential time scales based on this, confirming potential severity. You will work across the business & technical teams so strong stakeholder & engagement skills and an ability to translate information at all levels is paramount.
The role will be part of a 24/7 365 operation and the agreed working pattern will cover the hours within these periods including weekends, nights and bank holidays.
The difference you'll make:
- Being the key point of contact & managing the Business Response
- Instigating the response to all severity of incidents regardless of incident type
- Co-ordinating with stakeholders within the Business Units, Functions, technology & CoE's to invoke and manage agreed response plan & activities
- Assessing impacts ensuring the Incident and Crisis Management process is followed and reported within agreed timetables, confirming potential severity
- Reviewing approach and taking appropriate action as this situation evolves to ensure comprehensive response
- Providing inputs into the post incident review process
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrable expertise and experience in managing Business Response, event, and incident management and an ability to fluidly work with both non-technical and technical colleagues
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable challenging, constructively and influencing stakeholders across all divisions of Santander to manage complex situations
- Experienced in situation management and being able to drive actions & people toward objectives
- It would also be nice for you to have:
- Be an accomplished proven problem solver
- Demonstrate general technical knowledge across Information Technology
- Good knowledge of Santander products, services, policies, procedures, and organisational structure
- Accomplished analytical and presenting skills

This is a permanent position and is based from our Milton Keynes (Unity Place) office, our current expectation is at least 2 days in the office every week.
Typical working hours will be 12 hour shifts with 3 days on and 3 days off.
