The firm is renowned for its excellent working environment and due to an expansion of their Business Services they are recruiting for a Senior Accountant. The successful candidate can look forward to joining a supportive team dedicated to providing excellent service to their clients.
Within your role in the Business Services team you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and play a key part in training more junior team members.

The role
- Manage varied portfolio of clients.
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts and cashflow forecasts
- VAT returns preparations and submissions
- Year End accounts preparations
- Review of management accounts and VAT returns for trainees
- Helping with development of more junior members of the team
- Reporting key performance indicators and variances to clients
- Liaising with HMRC
- Help with ad-hoc tasks
Qualifications/experience
- At least 6 years of experience working within a Business Services Team
- Highly motivated with a strong academic background to include Degree level graduates (or equivalent), qualified AAT, ACCA or work experience equivalent
- Sage, Xero and Dext experience essential, other software beneficial
- VAT knowledge essential
- You will have strong business focus and awareness of current affairs
- Management Accounts preparation skills essential
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- An ability to analyse and interpret data
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- An ability to work as part of a team
- An ability to manage own tasks and meet deadlines
- You will need to be client facing
- Proficient in using Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook
