Business Studies Graduate Teaching Assistant – Secondary School - Walsall
If you have a degree in Business Studies (or have been predicted one) and are interested in working with young people, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We have partnered with a secondary academy in Walsall that is looking for a Business Studies Graduate Teaching Assistant for the upcoming academic year.
This position offers a great chance to work with students in Key Stage 3 & 4. We are looking for individuals who enjoy being around children, can foster success, and can establish positive relationships.
This term-time-only role will start in September 2024, with a weekly salary of £450 - £500. In addition to the competitive pay, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable on-the-job experience and put your degree to good use.
Key Requirements:
- Business Studies Degree (2:2 or above)
- Passion and enthusiasm for shaping the next generation.
- Interest in secondary school education or SEN
- High expectations of teaching and learning
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and adults.
- Willingness to be a positive role model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide teaching support in small groups and with individual students.
- Assist with the general pastoral care of students.
- Promote positive values, attitudes, and good student behaviour.
- Encourage the inclusion of all students in school life and activities.
- Support teachers in monitoring student progress.
- Aid in planning and learning activities.
- Support student educational and social development by modelling positive behaviour and demonstrating high expectations.
- Promote the inclusion, acceptance, and integration of all students.
