Salary: Circa £32,000 depending on experience

The opportunity!
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join the UK Support Function. You will undertake specific responsibilities to support, prioritise and coordinate effective and efficient technical administrative support to MBDA's FCAS (Future Combat Air Systems) International team. You will need to exhibit a high level of organisation skills, excellent attention to detail, extraordinary team ethic and the ability to talk to people at all levels both internally and externally, whilst accepting innovative ways of working.
The Role (this is not a comprehensive list of responsibilities):
  • Can be based in our Bolton, Bristol or Stevenage office with the flexibility to travel to other UK sites when required.
  • Generate and maintain a close working relationship with domestic and international stakeholders, both internal and external to MBDA.
  • To work with the senior management team with identifying project and technical administration activities that could be reassigned from the project and engineering population.
  • Supporting the international team with tasks such as; communication to internal and external stakeholders, process improvement, issue and actions logs, tracking, monitoring and risk mitigation etc.
  • Plan and provide a coherent schedule and logistical overview for complex international team travel, liaising with the domain's Business Support Officer.
  • Facilitating events, to include attendance at UK based events.
  • Production of reports to assist the UKMBDA international team; collecting and analysis of data in relation to the FCAS International programme.
  • Understanding of Non-Conformances within the domain and reporting findings to senior management where necessary.
  • Organising and chasing documentation. Working with the domains internal and external stakeholders to collate material and to be accountable for ensuring key documentation is available, accurate and up to date.
  • Generation of and supporting best practice - implementing, coordinating and policing internal processes across the domain.
  • Understand fully the process and policies in regards to the security requirements within the international domain and provide local expertise within the domain and wider FCAS programme.
  • To utilise and provide local expertise in key specialist IT based applications and databases and provide technical support/training to the domain.
  • To be a key member within the UK Support Function and the BSS Network and participate in engagement activities
  • Sharing best practice and knowledge within the UK Support Function and offering guidance and training to team members
  • Participation and progress on UK Support Function personal development initiatives and to be accountable for own self-learning and development
  • Encourage and participate in cross-skilling and knowledge transfer activities across the function
  • Time management in a very lively schedule, including setting priorities
  • Problem solving as required to ensure smooth running of the domain
  • Discretion and confidentiality to be maintained
  • Any other adhoc technical administration duties

  • It is important that the post holder undertakes the extensive duties with a high attention to detail, flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm and operates as an integral part of the team.
