Markets Operations Belfast Overview:

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business.  We support a wide range of internal stakeholders alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Team Overview:

This team provides direct support to the Markets Operations Leadership team as an invested strategic partner and advisor.

What you will do:

The Business Execution Head of Governance and Reporting is a key role to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting for both senior management and regulatory purposes and to ensure robust third party management strategy and governance.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining a process and schedule for complete, accurate and timely reporting.

  • Identifying process improvement opportunities to optimize reporting efficiency.

  • Ensure format and content is appropriate for the respective target audience, including senior management and regulators.

  • Leveraging many sources of data to produce strategic views.

  • Executing and maintaining the third party management governance strategy.

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure control and facilitate process economies of scale.

  • Ensuring appropriate independent risk assessment is conducted on a continuous basis.

  • Driving consistency across third party standards, services, and costings.

  • Maintaining KPIs and KRIs to independently measure service quality and risk.

  • Identify opportunities for risk remediation, cost efficiency and service improvement.

  • Championing diversity and inclusion to create a working environment which allows our People to thrive and excel

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BS/BA degree OR equivalent work experience

  • Relevant experience in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an Operations/ Finance/ Accounting Organisation

  • Demonstrable experience in reporting and/or third party management preferred.

  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a leader who can positively and productively add impact

  • Self-reliant, good problem solver, results oriented with attention to detail

  • Ability to establish and build trust with professionals throughout the business as a leader, advisor and business partner to the organization with a clear client orientation.

  • Strong, influential communicator who is articulate and concise, demonstrated success interacting with senior management both in the business, corporate functions as well as the Operations, Business and Technology environments

  • Strong risk management and control mindset

  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources

  • Strong awareness of both external and internal best practice perspectives, maintaining a balanced and fresh viewpoint.

  • Ability to conceptualize aspects of the organization’s model and its future development.
