BUYER OF LUXURY AND HIGH-PERFORMANCE VEHICLES opportunity based in Knaresborough!

Job Details:

• £30K basic, OTE 50K.

Type: Full time, permanent. Predominantly Monday to Friday 8.45am - 5.30pm, occasional weekend cover when/if required.

Job Role:

You will join a small team of highly experienced professionals who pride themselves on sourcing and selling high quality used vehicles. The role is critical in ensuring that they have a variety of top-class vehicles to offer their customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee the preparation required on vehicles coming into stock.
• Arrange the delivery / collection of new stock.
• Oversee and monitor stock levels, ensuring appropriate purchases in line with company standards.
• Ensure the correct documentation is provided.
• Source vehicles using various methods and channels.
• Monitor trends and demands within the market for specific makes and models of vehicles.
• Liaise with a sister company to encourage vehicle referrals with a view to purchase and sale.
• Create clear guidelines for assessing vehicles for part exchange, ensuring customers understand the cost implications of defects/missing items etc and ensuring any requests to waive costs are approved by Management.
• Streamline vehicle turnaround time by ensuring early identification of any required preparation, ensuring vehicles are booked in with the rectifier prior to coming into stock.
• Assist with all marketing and website activity to ensure it represents the high standard of the business and the stock available.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will either:

• be a competent buyer with experience of sourcing cars and buying mainly from the public
• or a Sales Manager/Sales Executive with the right skillset and transferrable knowledge i.e. from within the automotive industry.

Full UK driving licence required.
