Job Description
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, and timelines.
Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
Conduct market research to identify new potential suppliers.
Ensure procurement activities align with overall business objectives.
Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics.
Help in fostering an environment of teamwork within the procurement department.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Buyer should have:
Experience in industrial / manufacturing procurement.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to network and influence suppliers.
Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
Knowledge of supplier or third party management software.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
