Role Overview:
As Buyer/ Analyst you will provide analytical data gathering of internal requirements and external market information. You will also provide technical and market expertise to focus on sourcing and buying activity, content expertise and value delivery.
What you'll do:
- Ensure products and services are sourced competitively and cost effectively
- Identify and deliver cost saving initiatives in order to achieve individual and department targets.
- Work with others to define and develop sourcing strategies, supplier selection and manage relationships with suppliers
- Develop and maintain comprehensive category/purchasing plans
- Establish category prioritises based on benefits and opportunities and business requirements
- Develop and manage a category risk plan in agreement with the Business to mitigate Bupa's exposure to supply chain risks within the categories under their management.
- Lead contract negotiations on behalf of the organisation and develop negotiation plans alongside the Category manager.
- Develops innovative solutions by challenging the status quo and business requirements
- Liaise with internal customers to ensure requirements are delivered, performance tracked and operational efficiencies are maximised
What you'll bring:
- MCIPS qualified or studying towards this qualification (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Sourcing experience and expertise
- Evidence of sourcing similar products and services within the remit of professional services
- Experience of delivering savings through driving sourcing and category procurement activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Comprehensive experience of working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a successful commercial outcome
- Recent and relevant experience of leading cross functional/business unit teams
