What you will be doing
• Supporting your Buyer with effective upward management of critical path issues (weekly meetings to highlight any issues/ late approvals/ delays), proposing solutions.
• Work with Buyers on any quality and delivery issues, agree actions and solutions.
• Providing admin support for all buying processes
• Attending factory meetings with buyers to support range building and pre-season product selection/design meetings.
• Understand the buying calendar and the range building process and contribute to building a commercially balanced range through active participation in product strategy, competitive benchmarking, sales history, and creative influencing opportunities.
• Managing the current season samples, making sure they are developed and archived if no longer needed.
• Attending and contributing in fits sessions, alongside the design & buying team, ensuring highest priority in line with critical path management.
• Manage and maintain visual range planner.
• Deputise confidently and effectively if Buyer is absent.
• Have store awareness and deal with store product queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Sending tech packs off and in some cases creating tech packs for cross costing.
• Responsible for selecting and approving trims.
• Responsible for approving lap dip, strike offs and bulk standards in the Buyers absence.
• Ensure packaging & labelling for products are correct.
• Showing awareness of the current trends and competitors within the market
• Responsible for checking new in category weekly, supporting your buyer with weekly Trade actions.
