Description
- Supporting the buying team in the selection and sourcing of products.
- Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
- Assisting in the management of product lifecycle and inventory.
- Monitoring market trends and competitor activity within the retail industry.
- Ensuring all product and supplier information is accurate and up to date.
- Assisting in the preparation of sales forecasts and budget reports.
- Attending trade shows and supplier meetings when required.
- Providing general administrative support to the buying team.
Profile
A successful Buying Assistant should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Marketing, or a relevant field.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for the retail industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Job Offer
- An estimated salary range of 20,000 - 23,000 per annum, based on skills and experience.
