Job Description
- Develop and implement buying strategies in line with company objectives.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers to maximise profitability.
- Oversee a team to ensure efficient product selection and placement.
- Analyse market trends to anticipate product demands.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage contracts.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote products.
- Monitor inventory levels and determine order quantities.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Buying Manager should have:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Knowledge and a passion for books, and buying experience in general FMCG.
- Proven leadership experience in a similar retail buying role.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical abilities and forecasting skills.
