Cad Engineer

Permanent role working for a leading electrical manufacturing client in Telford, Shropshire.

A new role has arisen for a CAD Technician to join a leading electrical manufacturing business in Telford, Shropshire.

Monday to Friday (8.00AM - 16.30PM) - 40 hours per week

Due to the nature of the business, the hiring manager is looking for someone that has previous experience/knowledge of LV Switchgears, 230/400V 3 phase & neutral systems & Panel Building and has got either 2D or 3D CAD experience.

This role will be predominantly office based, working within the Technical team you will be responsible for producing CAD drawings, the requisition of equipment, technical support to customers and shop floor operatives and occasional quotations.

This client in Telford, requires a CAD Technician on a permanent basis. As a CAD Technician you will be required to;

• Produce CAD drawings
• Read and understand engineer drawings
• Working with 2D AutoCAD
• Providing technical support to customers and shop floor staff
• Occasionally producing and sending over quotations
• Maintain documentation, log all breakdowns and servicing work.
• Read and create simple control circuit wiring diagrams

The CAD Technician should have the following skills or experience:

Essential:

• Previous experience with experience of 230/400V 3 phase & neutral systems, LV switchgear and panel building
• Ability to read and create simple control circuit wiring diagrams is required.
• Previous work-based experience using 2D and/or 3D AutoCAD.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with some basic knowledge of 2D or 3D CAD Engineering and has experience with LV Switchgears that would like to gain more experience with an established manufacturing company. In return for your experience, this Telford based manufacturer will offer you:

• Opportunity of a permanent contract (once your probation has been passed)

• 40 hours working week.

• Starting annual salary up to GBP26,500 per annum, with the potential to increase after passing your probationary period
