As a Prototype Development Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our development team by producing jigs and prototype machines to support our production. You'll craft parts and welded assemblies from precise drawings, create drilling and welding jigs to enable batch production, and support safe tool operations while upholding our stringent quality standards. Compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements is paramount.
Hours of Work: Full-time hours: 37 hours per week
Prototype Development Engineer Requirements:
- ONC in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or completion of a recognised apprenticeship
- Proficiency in welding and fabrication
- Knowledge of machine shop equipment and tools, including lathes, millers, and drills
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot with a proactive can do attitude
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads
- Effective team player with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel to other manufacturing sites within the Group is essential
