GI Pro are recruiting for a CAD Technician on a permanent basis for our Luton based client
Working days (with flexi start time)
Paying £35k - £40k
The client - Point of Sale display and stands manufacturer
The role: CAD Technician
- Create drawings using AutoCAD for the production team to manufacture from
- Assisting the Production Director and Project Manager in managing orders of materials and specialist stand elements.
- Support with the labour scheduling may also be required.
- Creating detailed and accurate floorplans, graphic elevation plans, on-site service plans and full build instructions and elevations for custom/bespoke exhibition and modular/system stands
- To calculate and order relevant build materials and components
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings to comply with project requirements
- Assist in document controlling
Essential Experience and Skills:
- Professional CAD design experience with a background in carpentry / joinery
- Exhibition experience would be an advantage and a good knowledge of manufacture within a workshop environment
- 3D CAD and technical drawing skills in (knowledge of a 3D modelling software such as 3D Studio Max would be an advantage)
- Trade show specific design experience/Modular exhibition system
- Ability to support in other areas if required
