Cafe Manager - The Boat House Café Pugneys Country Park
The successful candidate will be involved in developing the business and motivating the team. They must be self-motivated and enthusiastic and have the ability to provide an excellent level of customer service and have a proven track record in managing a catering/café establishment.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Cooking and preparing food and beverages and lead on the standard of food production and display in the café.
- Deal with any problems that may arise on a daily basis and report to the Catering Manager.
- Develop excellent communication skills with Anglers Country Park Team.
- Monitor and deliver the HACCP programme while ensuring that food safety, food presentation, hygiene and quality standards are adhered to.
- Ensure the Cafe Team comply with Wakefield Council policies and procedures.
- Place product orders with agreed suppliers, in a cost effective way.
- Responsibility for cash handling and banking
- Provide and implement a fast, friendly and efficient level of customer service in order to enhance the overall visitor experience.
- Provide ongoing staff training and motivation and develop the skills of cafe employees.
- Provide ongoing supervision of the cafe services, presentation and dining areas.
- Plan, develop and implement an efficient work schedule for the cafe in order to ensure job rotation and flexibility of all staff while maximising their productivity.
- Participate in events and marketing activities for the Country Park to maximise revenue opportunities.
- The role is 37hours per week to include weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays
