My client is a precision engineering company, who manufacture products for several blue chips clients globally and are a market leader within their industry. They have 3 sites within the Southwest of England, and this role will be based at their Bath site on a full-time basis.
The role will report directly into the Chief Inspector, and the main function of the role will be supporting the calibration department with the measurement of all types of measuring equipment from handheld devices to ring & plug gauges, heat treatment jigs, heat treatment and test equipment certificates to British standards and ISO standards.
The role will involve working Monday to Friday days, 0700-1600 Monday to Thursday and 0700-1200 on Fridays.
The skills/experience required within the role of Calibration Engineer are:
- Have previous experience within a precision engineering environment.
- Ideally have calibration experience, although specific training can be given.
- Hold a recognised mechanical engineering qualification.
- Competent in the use of measuring equipment within a precision engineering environment
- Evidence of high productivity whilst maintaining high quality standards
Suitable candidates may be currently working as a CNC Miller, CNC Turner, Mechanical Engineer, Quality Inspector.
