SalaryX4 is currently collaborating with a growing Engineering Consultancy in the search for a highly skilled Calibration Engineer to join their team on-site in Wells, Somerset.
The incoming individual is responsible for the calibration of mechanical measuring instrumentation and production gauging to company procedures, specific parameters and in line with industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Dimensional checks on fixtures / tooling using first principle methods.
- Accurately recording results and in line with industry standards.
- Comply with company H&S guidelines.
- Handling technical enquiries from customers.
- Attending customers sites, overnight stays are likely.
Position requirements:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical / Dimensional Calibration Engineer.
- Experience of calibrating digital and manual measuring devices such as Vernier's, DTI's, Calipers, Micrometers, Plug and Ring gauges, Thread gauges, Engineer's squares, Height gauges to UKAS Traceable standards.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering discipline ideally equivalent to HNC or higher.
