The Company recruiting for the Calibration Technician:

• Established for over 40 years and part of an organisation with over 160 years of experience.
• Highly reputable within the hardness testing and materials testing sector.
• Trusted by testing laboratories, scientists, and engineers across the world.
• Well known for their world class machinery and testing reference materials

The Role of Calibration Technician:

• Carry out inspections and preparations of metal test blocks used for materials testing.
• Complete linishing, polishing, and engraving of test blocks.
• Daily calibration and use of Rockwell, Vickers, and Brinell testing machinery.
• Issue certificates for test blocks, showing values, ranges, serial numbers, tolerances, and other relevant calibration information.
• Conduct hardness testing to ISO 6508 and ISO 6506 standards
• Mon - Fri 39 hours per week; 4x 8-hour days, 1x 7-hour day
• Ideal start time is 7am - 3pm but not mandatory.

The Candidate for the Calibration Technician:

• Familiar with metal testing or inspection
• Knowledge of ISO 6508 Rockwell testing and/or ISO 6506 Vickers/Brinell testing
• Strong admin skills for updating stock levels and adhering to UKAS Certification criteria.
• Able to commute daily to the site based near Dudley.
• You must have right to work in the UK. No sponsorship will be provided.

The Package for the Calibration Technician:

• £25,000 - £35,000 basic salary, depending on experience
• Full training
