We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly Tier 3 CAMHS team in Coastal West Sussex (Worthing and Chichester). This is a substantive, 4 day a week (0.8 wte) post. Responsibilities include providing support and co-ordination to assessment clinics, conducting service evaluation and audit projects and undertaking tasks to enhance the use of routine outcome measures and to support our service values through 'delivering with, delivering well' (DWDW). There will also be opportunities to work alongside and under the supervision of the psychologists and other qualified colleagues in the team.
Main duties of the job
To support and enhance professional psychological practice within the service. Providing support, co-ordination and administration to clinical, training and research functions within the scope appropriate to level of training and competence, and to undertaking related tasks to enhance assessment, intervention and evaluation within the team or care group. To work independently according to a plan agreed and reviewed through regular supervision by a qualified applied HCPC registered Psychologist.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The successful candidate will be part of a strong multidisciplinary CAMHS team and will receive high standards of supervision from an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist in order to develop an understanding of key aspects of the profession. The successful candidate needs to have excellent IT skills, be proficient in the use of Excel and Powerpoint, have good audit and evaluation skills and a good knowledge of routine outcome measures and service user feedback tools.
The successful candidate will also be part of a wider West Sussex Psychology team contributing to our innovation and commitment to ongoing service improvement and compassionate care. Whilst direct clinical work is not part of the post, there will be an opportunity to support colleagues in delivering groups, initial assessments and developing shared formulations, care plans and risk assessments for young people and their families.

Essential criteria
- Honours degree at 2:2 or above in Psychology, or equivalent. Eligible for Graduate Basis for Chartership with the BPS

- Ability to apply existing psychological knowledge to a health context
