The Role

As the Campus Operations Manager, based in London and reporting to the Executive Dean, you will spearhead the administration and management of London Campus operations. Your primary focus will be to ensure the effective implementation of the universities policies, business plans, and regulations to provide a supportive learning environment. Leading the operations, timetabling and facilities team, you will collaborate with academic staff, fostering professional rapport and maintaining parity in processes between the London Campus and other campus locations.

In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of the student experience, aligning with the university policies. This includes developing engaging opportunities such as careers fairs, student showcases, and graduation celebrations to maximise participation and promote the Institute. pension

This is a full time, 37 hours per week, permanent role. The role is currently based near Oval station in South London, but from May 2024 will relocate to new offices in Canary Wharf, Westferry Circus station. They offer hybrid working arrangements of 3 days on site however, please note that it would be expected that during the induction period (first few months) you would need to be based on site, full time.

Main duties:

  • Line managing the Facilities Team of 3, Operations Team of 13 and Timetabling and Timesheets Team of 1.
  • Assist the Provost/Head of Institute, Executive Dean and others on matters of policy, planning, management, decision-making, governance and administration arising in relation to the operations of the Campus
  • Provide data for budgetary plans to meet campus and university needs.
  • Build and lead a cohesive professional team, supporting academics in academic-related activities.
  • Enhance admissions, recruitment, and retention processes in collaboration with relevant university staff.
  • Lead the organisation of university and campus events.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on Health and Safety compliance.
  • Develop and manage student and academic staff timetables ensuring UKVI compliance.
  • Represent the campus in university meetings and cross-university projects.
  • Lead on the administration and processing of staff timesheets, ensuring UKVI compliance.
  • Coordinate Campus Operational Meetings, manage the Facilities Team, Operations Team, and Timetabling and Timesheets Team.

Essential experience required:

  • Organisational management experience in a leadership role, ideally within the higher education sector or from a private sector education provider.
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Strong customer-focused approach and ability to propose solutions.
  • Experience in budgetary and financial controls.
