AWE have a new and exciting role for a Capability Specialist to join our growing team.
Location - Reading/Basingstoke
What’s A Day like in the life of a Capability Specialist?
You will be supporting Capability Management within AWE’s Operations function and Workforce Managers in our manufacturing areas to deliver people capability information and governance activities.
As part of the centralised workforce capability team, you will be integral to delivering activities such as:
  • Developing and producing people capability metrics and data sets at function and sub-function level
  • Supporting the capabiliy team with process improvement and governance activities
  • Identifying opportunities to continually improve upon the formatting and delivery of available workforce capability dashboards and management information through the utilisation of desktop and online applications
  • Work with service providers and customers to maintain service catalogues
  • Proactively work with stakeholders to support Service Level Agreements and customer relationship metrics - seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.

Most importantly you will be working with a remarkable team supporting the delivery of extraordinary things.
You will be set for success in this role If you can demonstrate and evidence the following skills and experience:
  • You have a good standard of secondary education
  • You will be proficient in the use of MS Excel - some experience with Power BI would be an advantage
  • You have a keen attention for detail and you are able to analyse and interpret large data sets, summarise, and present back as management information
  • You are a self-starter with a desire for personal development to benefit delivery in the role
  • You can identify opportunities for innovation and improvement where possible
  • You are organised and able to manage and prioritise workload
  • You are able to develop and manage key business relationships
  • You have a passion to succeed and support your team to be the best it can possibly be

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for this role.
