Resource and Capability Specialist


  • A key role in fostering the growth and development of our General Insurance Pricing department, nurturing talent, and a robust talent pipeline.

  • An opportunity to collaborate with the leadership team and broader business colleagues to drive the Pricing operational plan forward.

  • Hybrid role with 80% homeworking and 20% in Stratford-upon-Avon

About the role

In this pivotal role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the operational landscape and guiding the people initiatives of our technical Pricing team. As Pricing Capability Consultant, you’ll ensure the delivery of a wide range of objectives, including capacity planning and headcount management, talent management and development, and onboarding of new employees.
Collaborating closely with the Pricing management team and HR and Finance colleagues, you’ll translate technical Pricing plans into an effective resource plan, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals.

Within this role, you’ll contribute to the creation and deployment of succession planning, risk mitigation and talent management strategies, and manage the Pricing Analyst Development Framework and Pricing Apprenticeship and Graduate schemes for the department.


You’ll offer invaluable insights to evaluate the department’s skills gaps and requirements, taking a proactive approach to anticipate future skills and capabilities necessary for our success. You’ll address any gaps and future requirements with managers, and work with HR to ensure these are integrated into our strategic workforce plan and recruitment efforts.

About you

You’ll be able to demonstrate a track record in operations readiness, or a comparable role, with strong organisational and planning skills that have enabled you to successful drive results to meet department plans.


You’ll also have:



  • Experience of future capability and operational resource planning, including headcount management/oversight

  • Skills analysis and learning needs analysis experience

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills that allow you to build effective and influential relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • A strategic, forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to anticipate future needs and proactively address challenges with a solutions-focused approach

  • A passion for talent development and a commitment to fostering a supporting and inclusive work environment.
