Job description

This role is key to the effective management and monitoring of all aspects of the Trust Car Parking functions, including dealing with queries regarding parking permit applications, authorisation of parking permits, charges and processes/policies across Trust sites (acute and community) in order to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and staff at all times.
The post holder is a key member of the Property Services team and will be responsible for the day-to-day administration for Car Parking Trust-Wide. They will ensure that any queries or issues submitted to the Car Parking inbox are answered and/or escalated appropriately in a timely manner and will work closely with our Car Parking service providers to ensure smooth running of daily Car Parking operations.
The post holder will work in partnership with colleagues across the rest of the Property Services directorate including PFI partners, care groups, corporate teams, private sector and voluntary sector to ensure the provision of Car Parking is safe and provides a positive environment for patients, visitors and colleagues alike.
Process permit applications from colleagues (BHT and non-BHT) and volunteers in a timely manner and in line with the Car Parking Policy
Ensure records are kept up-to-date and accurate
Answer queries and provide advice in line with the Trust Car Parking Policy
Process applications for temporary blue badge permits for colleagues authorised by Occupational Health
Remain in daily contact with the Trust Car Parking Service Provider
Provide accurate data to the Car Parking Manager
Provide information on common complaints and/or problem areas arising short-term or long-term to the Car Parking Manager
Attend monthly contractual meetings with the Car Parking Service Provider with the Car Parking Manager
Assist with enquiries around PCNs (penalty charge notices), signposting to the correct appeals procedure, ensuring that all data is handled securely in line with GDPR
Assist the Car Parking Manager with the process for the electronic colleague ‘ePermit’ system in collaboration with the Car Parking Service Provider
Proactively manage and report issues impacting equipment to the Service Provider
Ensure equality and transparency within Car Parking Processes
Assist in ensuring effective and efficient use of parking resources across the Trust
Manage requisition and payment of all invoices relating to Car Parking in a timely manner
Provide accurate information for FOI’s (freedom of information requests) in a timely manner
