The ideal person will:
- Be motivated to learn new skills and teach people new skills to increase their independence.
- Enjoy being around people with a learning disability and be motivated by their achievements.
- Driver is desirable but not essential
- Understand the principles and be able to support people in a person-centred way.
- Follow individual support plans and have the ability to record the support accurately and reflectively.
- Be able to keep professional boundaries, within both personal and work life.
- Be reliable and consistent when providing support.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work as part of a team, as well as be confident when lone working.
- Be flexible to support the needs of the customers.
- Previous experience working with disabled individuals is desirable
- We provide theory and practical training plus all mandatory social care training.
- Our staff team are friendly and welcoming.
Job Type: Flexible, Part-time and Full time roles avalable.
