The Home
Holmes Court are recruiting Positive BehaviourCare Assistants. Holmes Court is a new residential home for people aged 18 or over with complex needs including Autism, learning disability and behaviour that challenges. Predicted job commencement February.
Holmes Court is located in Ballymena and it neighbours with Slemish Nursing Home. Holmes Court location is on a walking distance from local shops and parks, the home can be reached easily by bus or train.
At Holmes Court we aim to provide a homely and relaxed environment for residents while insuring a high level of care for our service users.
The Role
Meeting the daily needs of residents using a Positive Behaviour, person centred approach. Helping our residents fulfil their potential. deliver a homely environment providing each resident with the highest quality of care by using a Positive Behaviour person centred approach. We want to enable residents to have opportunities for life enrichment using an approach tailored to meet each individual and enhance, then maintain quality of life.
Main Responsibilities
- Build positive rapports and putting Human Rights at the centre of all care delivery.
- Implement individual programmes of care with support from the Bradley Court team.
- Provide High Standard of Personal Care.
- Provide care in a safe environment through participation in learning and development programmes.
- Maintaining high quality daily records.
You will need:
- To be a good listener, showing patience, compassion, empathy and understanding
- Have a basic understanding of the main mental health conditions experienced by residents.
- Previous Learning disability experience – this can be on a voluntary basis or experience gained caring for a friend or family member with Learning disability.
- The Right to Work in the UK
- Be NISCC registered or eligible to register.
