The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Care Coordinator based in our Roden Court Care home.
Roden Court is a retirement home for the over 55's. There are 17 one-bedroom and 23 two-bedroom self-contained flats. The flats are spacious, modern homes, complemented by areas and facilities open to everyone.
Location: Roden Court, Haringey
Salary: £28,859 per annum
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week 8am-4pm
Your responsibilities will include:
- Direct Management of the care team monitoring staff development through supervisions, appraisals, and training to assist them in delivering a high-quality service.
- Overseeing the referral process including assessments, move-in and settle-in of people into the scheme.
- Ensuring care assessments, care and risk planning meets best practice and customers aspirations.
- Creating, managing, and monitoring customer care plans, ensuring staff rotas meet residents’ needs and aspirations.
- Ensure CQC and ARCO compliance.
- Completing medication audits.
What you will need to succeed
We are looking for someone who is able to lead from the from the front and believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is positive and friendly.
The successful candidate will have:
- Have or working towards Level 3/5 diploma in Health and Social Care or Social Care Management - essential
- Knowledge of CQC standards and CQC Compliance – essential
- Experience and knowledge of effective staffing and managing care hours
- Experience / understanding of staff supervision, development and retention in a care and support setting
- Understanding of Extra Care referral processes from initial enquiry to move-in and settle-in
- Great level of IT skills and literacy
