The outcome of the council’s Total Pay and Reward review means the full-time salary for this position from 1st April 2024 will be £27,799 to £28,282. The salary will be pro rata for part time and term time vacancies.
This is an extremely rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to children’s lives in a Residential Care Setting. By offering 24/7 care 48 weeks per year, St. Anne’s Residence provides short breaks to support families and offers structure and consistency to children and young people. We are rated GOOD by Ofsted.
We pride ourselves on developing self-help, independence, social and communication skills through reactional activities on and off site for children and young people aged between 8 and 19 years. The emotional well-being of children and young people and safety is a high priority.
Ideally you will be qualified with an NVQ/Diploma level 3 in Care of Children and Young People/Social Care Pathways/Residential Child Care. However, opportunity and support will be available if this qualification is not held.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop professionally with access to training and learning, and the support from an excellent manager and team.
Copies of rotas are available upon request; you will work shifts, including hours 7-9.30am / 3-9pm / 7am-3pm. The rota is 2 weekly, and you will be off every other weekend.
Appointments will be subject to satisfactory disclosures at enhanced level by the Disclosure and Barring Services and other background checks, including social media. You must provide at least the last 10 years of employment or education history and explain any gaps and you must have a legal right to work in the UK.
