Salary: Starting at £34,773.64 with progression to £36,451.75 per annum (pro rata of £40,076.00 to £42,010.00 per annum pro rata)
Contract Type: Fixed term until June 2025, Term-time only (phone number removed) FTE)
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Careers Advisor to join our Advice & Recruitment Team within Student Services at our thriving, inclusive sixth form college in Newham. You will provide professional career guidance services, including personal guidance interviews, in order to improve pupils’ skills, knowledge and understanding for career planning and management.
You will be educated to degree level or have significant relevant experience in Careers and hold a Level 6 qualification in Careers Advice and Guidance. Experience of delivering careers-related learning to groups is essential as is knowledge of the CDI Framework and Gatsby Benchmarks.
You must also have experience of working in, or providing, an information, advice and guidance service within a post-16 setting together with experience of supporting UCAS and clearing processes through the provision of up to date advice and guidance to students and staff.
Effective communication skills including written and verbal and the ability to relate to a wide range of people and organisations are also key.
