We are seeking a Careers Advisor to join our team at Chester and Ellesmere Port campuses. This is an excellent opportunity to provide careers guidance in order to ensure a quality service for learners, visitors, customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support all current learners, pre-entry learners, alumni learners, staff and customers who require Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance via a range of methods including face-to-face, telephone, email, 1:1 appointment, group workshops, College events and school events.
- Support the CEIAG Supervisor to ensure that Careers Education is embedded within the curriculum through teaching and learning including specialist areas such as employability, volunteering and Higher Education.
- Act as a linked CEIAG advisor to curriculum areas to provide timely, appropriate and accurate Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance to all levels of learners to support success, increase positive and raise aspirations.
- Liaise with internal and external partners and agencies to ensure a knowledgeable and well-informed service is available to all learners.
- Be responsible for sharing best practice and knowledge throughout the Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance team.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
- GCSE Grade C (4/5) or above in English and Maths (or equivalent);
- Relevant industry qualification/s (e.g. Diploma in Careers Guidance or NVQ 4 in Guidance) or equivalent;
- Proven ability of working in a relevant area; and
- Enhanced DBS check.
