Careers Coach
£31,607 - £36,371 per annum
About the role:
We are seeking a new Careers Coach to join our innovative and progressive Student Development team at NTU. This is an exciting time to be joining the team as we explore and implement new ways of supporting students and graduates across NTU. We have recently reshaped our team to grow our Career Coach roles, who are key to delivering engaging career development learning in curriculum, supporting our core central offer and facilitating 1-1 coaching with students from a broad range of disciplines.
You will be responsible for preparing, delivering and evaluating impactful career and employability learning activities and 1-1 coaching to a wide range of NTU students across multiple schools and student groups.
We work in a hybrid way with the majority of our meetings and some delivery online, however, a lot of your delivery will be on campus so willingness to travel to all campuses is essential.
About you:
If you are passionate about innovative approaches to student delivery and enjoy variety in your work – then this could be for you!
You will need excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a broad range of students. As you will work across multiple schools you must be well organised and able to work flexibly, adapting your style to different student groups.
1-1 careers guidance is a key part in this role, so you must hold or be working towards an appropriate careers guidance qualification or equivalent coaching qualification.
The role will require you to work closely with a range of internal stakeholders, so the ability to build effective working relationships and work collaboratively is a must.
For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.
