Caretaker / Janitor

Search recruitment are looking for an experienced Caretaker/Janitor for a permanent post with our client in Dundee.

Location: Dundee

Salary: £26k per year

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm or 8am - 4pm

You will have a variety of duties, ranging from security, janitorial and reporting duties. These include:

• Weekly fire Alarm test - different call point each week.
• Manage consumables orders and storage and supply.
• Monthly room inspections for cookers/fridges/heaters to ensure they are still in working order
• Moving furniture within the vicinity upon request or instruction
• Liaise with the laundry company
• Maintain record of scheduled visitors and contractors ensuring sign in book updated, navigate unexpected visitors to ensure they are authorised person(s) and manage any banned visitors appropriately
• You will be the Police and Fire on site contact
• Report any antisocial or illegal activity to appropriate person
• Pre and post tenancy deep clean - maintain record of these
• Report repairs and fire alarm activation's by email - emergency repairs within 1hr
• Maintain database of emergency contact where applicable
• Maintain record of vacant rooms and clean/to clean rooms
• Manage and report tenant disputes

Any additional training such as first aid or security experience is beneficial but is not a set requirement for the role.
