SalaryJoin Westminster Kingsway College's dynamic team as a Carpentry/Multi Skills Lecturer. We are looking for a dedicated individual to teach a variety of occupational units on all levels of Plumbing programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach up to level 2 in Carpentry/Multi Skills.
- Deliver courses and provide student support and pastoral care.
- Prepare teaching materials using Pro Monitor, MS Teams, and Google Classrooms.
- Assess students' work and attendance, utilizing PLP system (Pro-Monitor) for progress monitoring.
- Liaise with employers for work experience placements and assess students in the workplace.
- Manage administrative tasks, including record-keeping, enrollment, and examination procedures.
- Integrate English and maths into vocational teaching.
- Contribute to curriculum development, monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance.
- Assist in marketing, recruiting, interviewing, and assessing students.
- Attend College and section meetings, as well as relevant staff development events.
- Undertake other duties as appropriate.

Qualifications/Professional Development:
- Minimum Level 1 Trade qualification.
- Assessor awards/Teaching qualification/AET/PTTLS, etc.
- Experience of acting as IQA for City and Guilds electrical courses.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to relate to, communicate effectively with, and counsel students.
- Passion and commitment for working with 16-19 year-olds.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and provide team leadership if needed.
- High level of organizing and administrative skills.
- Ability to work with employers and assessors in workforce development for Electrical.
- Deliver employability skills at all levels and embed Maths and English in vocational subjects.
