Description
- Overseeing the daily operations of the logistics carrier department
- Planning and implementing operational strategies across 3pl and 4pl partners
- Ensuring compliance with industry and company standards
- Coordinating with other departments to optimise operational efficiency
- Identifying and implementing improvements to existing operational procedures
- Reporting on operational performance to senior management and retail stakeholders
- Managing relationships with external logistics partners
Profile
A successful Carrier Manager should have:
- A degree in Business, Logistics or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar carrier focused role
- Expert knowledge of logistics and supply chain management
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience working within 3pl/4pl management
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Must be Midlands based with some flexibility to travel nationally (mainly to Birmingham)
