An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 4 Caseload Maternity Support Worker to join our community caseload team. We want to appoint an experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic senior Maternity Support Worker to join our caseload midwifery team to offer enhanced continuity of care to our most deprived families within the Brent area.
The role of the senior Maternity Support Worker is to provide high standard of care in the assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating evidence bases care in all settings of maternity. This setting includes hospital, home and in the community children centres.
This is a perfect opportunity to work collaboratively working with the maternity team to develop new skills and experience. This role is an extension of band 3 MSW. The post holder will liaise with number of community initiatives, charities as well as hospital based services to enhance the service offered to families through the direct delivery of care. The post holder would also be an advocate for our families and be a point of contact for support or signposting.
You will be supported by the caseload Matron.
A full driving licence and access to a car is essential as the successful candidate will be working predominantly off site attending to families in their homes. Good IT skills are a must. This role requires the post holder to work flexibility, Monday- Sunday
To assist and support the Midwife, with the delivery of direct patient care, with the needs of the women/birthing people and baby at the centre of care delivery. This will be in the home, children centres and birth centres
To improve the patient experience.
To support the Midwife in emergency situations by initiating emergency protocols and supporting in the transfer of patients as appropriate.
To support women /birthing people at home in the postnatal period
