Caseworker

Acorn by Synergie is currently looking for multiple Caseworkers on behalf of a national charity delivering high quality advice and information to vulnerable clients and families.

Key Details

• Location: Remote with some travel (i.e. quarterly meetings in the Midlands).
• Salary: £30,000 per annum.
• Contract: Permanent 37.5 hrs per week, flexibility available.
• Annual Leave: 25 Days initially, growing with length of service.

• Experience in conducting holistic assessments for clients.
• Strong experience of advising and delivering information to clients across areas of; social care, benefits, money confidence, housing, employment and similar.
• Qualification or certificate in delivering advice and guidance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage complex and vulnerable cases, ensuring people receive a diligent and caring service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to listen attentively and good questioning skills to understand the needs of clients more effectively.
• Ability to travel to meet with team and clients when required.
• DBS cleared.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and track a diverse range of cases.
• Provide advice and information to clients contacting the charity's helpline, ensuring each client receives a positive service and has access to the information they require.
• Support clients to identify and secure the specialist support they require, referring to a range of partners when needed.
• Coordinate plans which provide information or support services to address issues.
• Manage key issues on behalf of clients where other problems might make it difficult to handle themselves.
• Establish goals and actions with clients and ensure each feels empowered to address their problems.
• Adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct and ensuring adherence to industry and company policies and standards.
