Cash Reconciliations Specialist
We are currently recruiting for Cash Reconciliations Specialist to work with our client based in the Banking industry. The role is Hybrid and based in Dublin. This is a 10-month contract position.
Issuer Services is a solutions-oriented business supporting client needs in various Agency roles across a variety of capital market's banking and commercial transactions including conventional debt, structure finance and specialized agency.
Job Description
The Cash Reconciliations team manage the reconciliation of incoming and outbound Issuer Services Payments over several different reconciliation platforms where we offer depository servicing, Issuing & Paying agency services and Specialized Agency such as Account Bank, Project / Structured Finance & Escrow Agent functions. Any exceptions identified are required to be investigated / categorized and reported in accordance with the organization's standard protocols. The team is responsible for identifying exceptions and actively investigating to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
* Review cash exceptions daily to ensure team is appropriately raising and resolving queries / issues.
* Identifying, leading, and mitigating operational risks and raising risk and services issues on a timely basis.
* Provide detailed analysis of escalated issues when necessary and recommend actions for resolution.
* Experience of working on TLM reconciliation platform.
* Subject matter expertise in reconciliations of cash accounts between external custodians and accounting records.
* Experience / knowledge of transaction types, corporate actions, income / coupons, transaction settlements, life cycles and swift payments.
* Experience of investigating cash breaks, taking necessary action to resolve, prioritising by age and value etc.
* Experience with reconciliation tools and ability to use these platforms for query investigations.
* Adherence to procedures and service level agreement(s).
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Additional skills
* Educated to degree level or suitable prior work experience.
* Should have relevant working in an operational or client facing role.
* Have strong interpersonal and both oral / written communications skills, including an ability to interact effectively with senior management.
* Fluency in spoken and written English, including business writing.
* Is individually pro-active, demonstrates initiative and self-motivated.
* Highly adaptable; able to cope with elements of ambiguity and change and continuously optimise processes and tasks in own area of responsibility.
Knowledge / Experience
* Reconciliation experience.
* Financial services experience. Payments or documentation review experience would be of benefit.
* Good understanding of corporate actions such as right issue, cash dividend, dividend distribution etc.
* Swift knowledge desirable.
* Good understanding of financial products including, but not limited to: ECP, MTN, Bonds, Warrants & ETFs.
* Acumen to understand the Debit / Credit to investigate the impact of accounting journals and its movement.
* Performing review of aged breaks to find its resolution by following proper escalation channels.
* Manage and work with multiple stakeholders.

* Experience of working on TLM reconciliation application
* Project management experience
Skills: (Technical skills)
Essential
* Proficient computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Office applications
* Good with excel shortcuts and basic formulas, pivot and chats.
