About us
Est. 1985, Liquor Barn is an independent family-run business that has expanded into a chain of off-licenses across Glasgow, known for fair prices, friendly staff and a vast range of products. We primarily offer alcohol and tobacco but also carry a small selection of household supplies, confectionery & snacks. Various services are available to withdraw cash, pay outstanding bills or top up utilities.

What will you be doing?
- Provide excellent service to the customers, serving and promoting sales at the till.
- Assist customers with basic product knowledge of brands, spirits, wines, whiskeys, etc.
- Totalling orders and concluding sales, ensuring customers have the correct money and change.
- Topping up utility fobs/cards, such as gas or electric, using various systems.
- Replenish shelves and rotate stock, while adding to a list of low-stock products to assist with ordering from our suppliers.
- Enforcing challenge 25 policy and minimum age requirements for the purchase of alcohol or tobacco.
- Always maintaining brand standards and policies within premises.
Essential qualifications/requirements
- Hold a valid personal alcohol license or be willing to start training if successful in your application (application and training fees will be deducted from your salary).
- Competent in handling cash to check counterfeit banknotes and able to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtractions, multiplication, and division.
- Must be able to work alone in a fast paced environment.
Preferred qualifications/requirements
- Experience in retail sales
- Experience in operating a point of sale till systems and card machines
