The Duty Manager at Theatre Porto is responsible for overseeing the customer experience whilst activity is going on within the building, ensuring that events and activities run smoothly and safely. They will delegate duties to ushers, maintain staff productivity and create a positive working environment for the FoH team. They are responsible for managing all health and safety and security during their shift, liaising with other Theatre Porto staff, and are the main point of contact for all contractors/organisers
Events staff at Theatre Porto will support the Duty Manager when delivering shows, events and activities. They will assist the team in ensuring the environment is safe and secure, that all visitors receive a warm welcome and that everything runs smoothly. They will help the audience to their seats, watch the show and be responsible for evacuating the theatre on the rare occasion that a fire alarm sounds. They may be asked to help serve in the bar/ cafe and take payments for tickets, etc.
