We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Assistant to support the Category managers in managing a defined category of products across our Branch estate margin, based at our Head Office and Distribution Centre in South Normanton, Alfreton (just off J28, M1). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop within the procurement sector.
WHAT OUR CATEGORY ASSISTANTS DO:
- Analyse and create data to ensure agreed budgets are met
- Regularly review market pricing and range launches with competitors
- Support the Category department with new suppliers
- Manage projects to ensure deadlines are met, and communicate to stakeholders
- Liaise with our branch network as and when required
WHAT WE NEED FROM OUR CATEGORY ASSISTANTS:
- Strong interpersonal skills at all levels
- Positive and driven
- MS Office Competent
- Demonstrate the ability to project manage and structured working skills
- Commercial experience / understanding
- Ability to work with data
- Previous category management experience
- Experience with SAP (or equivalent) reporting system
