Category Manager

Zachary Daniels are excited to be working with a market leading distributor, who is looking to add an experienced Category Manager into their division

The role is highly autonomous and happy to have a Category Manager working remotely.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Category Manager will act as the Supplier expert documenting a precise understanding of the market environment.
• Segment the customer base to understand current performance and identify opportunities.
• Develop and maintain Supplier growth strategies with precise channel based growth plans driving volume into strategic brands and products.
• Use customer, manufacturer & competitor insight to define and maintain an efficient range.
• Lead relationships with suppliers developing joint growth plans for all strategic suppliers. Maximise Price Support and / or Rebate supporting the minimising cost of goods.
• Complete Suppliers price support agreements.
• Oversea and review any allocated Procurement budgets.
• Full ownership of price support / rebates including data management and ensuring targets are met, claimed and tracked.
• To complete or assist with any projects given or allocated by the business.
• Seek continuous process improvements, leading & agreeing changes to company Systems and SOP's as appropriate.
• To work with suppliers to get the best buy in deals on the market for our customers.
• Reporting back to the business on savings through the procurement tracker.

Skills Required:

• Proven Leadership skills
• Experienced Category Manager & Skilled Negotiators
• Strong Excel & analytical skills to fully understand Supplier performance
• Experienced user capability of Company Management Information & ERP system(s)
• Understanding of core category processes and systems interfaces
• Formal project management skills

Package:

Salary £45,000 - £60,000 plus package

Happy with a remote working with travel to the office once a quarter
