Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working on this exclusive opportunity with a Public Sector organisation that is the largest of its kind in Europe. This role would be partnering very closely with Public Health England and the Adult Social Care function of said organisation. Working within this team will require the successful candidate to work with key external bodies who deliver essential services to vulnerable members of the local community.
Your new role
This role will support my client in providing essential services such as drug and alcohol use, sexual health and other major public health initiatives. This role will take a more consultative approach to helping ensure that these vital programmes can continue and improve in their current capacity. The successful candidate will be analysing and assessing current procurement processes and supplier capabilities with a view to developing long term SLA's to ensure successful delivery of these critical services. This may also involve further supplier engagement and liaising with high level stakeholders to make strategic recommendations for the next financial year to ensure continuation and improvement of the current provision of services.
What you'll need to succeed
This role would be working within Public Health England and would therefore suit candidates coming from a Healthcare or Adult Social Care background. Due to the consultative nature of this role, it would suit candidates who have experience working with senior level stakeholders, advising on best procurement practices, and looking at in-depth analysis of current procurement procedures in order to suggest improvements. As this role is working within local government, the successful candidate will have extensive exposure to PCR (2015) regulations and ideally would have experience working with the Light Touch Regime (LTR) or Provider Selection Regime (PSR).
What you'll get in return
This role is offering between £350-£600 per day inside IR35, dependent on experience, with a requirement to be in the office twice a month. This, of course, comes with the expectation that any and all on-site meetings are attended as such. This role is unlike many others in this field due to the tangible effect the post-holders' work will have on the local community. Successfully mitigating delays in processes has a real world impact on the lives of vulnerable groups in and around Birmingham.
