Title: Category Manager (Indirects)

Sea Global are delighted to be partnering with a market leading business at the forefront of their industry who are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join their team. They are currently going through a transformation and it is a really exciting time to get involved in a global business.
Reporting into the Director of Procurement, they will be responsible for leading and developing the indirect categories, looking after the spend across all UK & Ireland sites, managing a small team, and championing procurement across the sites.
They are ideally looking for someone that has end-to-end procurement experience across a range of indirect and direct categories from a manufacturing or similar environment.

Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies across multiple different indirect categories.
- Responsible for leading end-to-end procurement including Tenders, Negotiation, Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management, and Spend Data Analysis.
- Build relationships with local and international suppliers, negotiating and ensuring deals align with business activities.
- Support and manage multiple projects from cradle to grave, driving strategy and communicating risks with the team & business.
- Develop and lead procurement process across sourcing and operational procurement processes.
Experience & Requirements
- End-to-end procurement experience across a range of categories including Freight, Utilities, Telecoms, PPE, MRO, Recruitment, Marketing etc.
- Experience with direct spend will be beneficial but not essential.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced market, demonstrating excellent supplier and stakeholder management skills.
- Can undertake work and projects on their own initiative.
- Ideally degree and/or MCIPS qualified (however, this is not at all essential)
