Category Manager - Medical Devices Remote Role

Company Overview:

My client is a leading and innovative player in the Medical Devices industry. With a commitment to being a one stop shop for the medial profession and a passion for excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Manager to join the team.

Responsibilities:

As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the portfolio of consumables, Medical Devices and hard goods.

Your role will involve:

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and opportunities for growth.

Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure favorable agreements for the company.

Product Lifecycle Management:

• Manage the entire lifecycle of Medical Devices, from introduction to obsolescence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product launches and enhancements.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage category budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvement.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards, ensuring all products meet compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with regulatory affairs to navigate and address any compliance issues.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with sales, marketing, and research & development teams to drive innovation and meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and ensure product availability.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in category management within the Medical Devices industry.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Package:

Salary £45,000 - £60,000 plus package

Happy with remote working with travel to the office once a quarter
