Job Title: Contract and Category Procurement Specialist

Salary: up to £55,000 plus benefits
Role Overview: The Contract and Category Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing contracts and procurement activities within specific categories. This role will involve strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure value for money.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Monitor and report on category performance and savings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in procurement, contract management, or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement software and systems.
- CIPS or equivalent qualification is desirable.
